It takes very many hours to build a website like this and it has taken the careers of many great teachers and colleagues to provide me with the benefit of their knowledge and expertise. With that in mind, read on:

Copying, Usage

Copying of the content of this site in any form whatsoever is expressly forbidden and includes the content, structure including source code, java, javascript of Actionscript found on this site.If this disclaimer is removed from any copy of this site or part copy or is not present in any copied format of this information then all permissions to use this material is withdrawn.

Association:

The views expressed here are my own and do not represent any official views of either the International Baccalaureate or any other institution or individual. This is not an official International Baccalaureate site, nor is there any intention that it should be associated with this organisation other than to meet the needs of my own students for a one stop revision site which directly addresses their requirements. I have enjoyed the tremendous support from my current school, Bangkok Patana British International School however the views expressed here do not represent that organisation.

The views expressed on blogs directly linked to from this site do not represent the views of any of the above organisations and in particular do not seek to represent the views of my current school, Bangkok Patana British School.

Students:

This site has been constructed to support the studies of my own students. If you are a student of IB Biology you should obtain first hand information from your own teacher and school who will be able to advise you on the appropriateness of these materials. I do not take any responsibility for the accuracy of the information on this site.

In the production of Extended Essays, Course work and Internal Assessment work students will be expected by the various examination boards to acknowledge the source of their information. Your sources should cite:

Burrell, J. G. (2002-11) Click4Biology (version 0820.2011). Thailand: Bangkok;

However like wikipedia if you choose to use this site in any research it can only be seen as a 'jumping off' point to more serious works.

Teachers:

This site was produced in the spirit of cooperation with colleagues past and present with free exchange of information. Teachers may use the site in whole or in part to support their own teaching but without saving this site to disc in any form. You may not use images, animations or information from this site to further any commercial project of your own. This includes sites that derive income from displaying advertising from third parties. If you use the information in part from this site I require that you fully acknowledge acknowledge the source of these materials (as given above).

Images and Materials:

Many people have contributed their materials to enable the construction of this site. The presence of an image or information on this site does not mean that such images are free from copyright. I am replacing borrowed images with my own or have secured permission to use the materials that appear on this site. Many colleagues both past and present have provided their own materials to allow me to produce this site. In some cases the permission to use the material was given a number of years ago. Acknowledgements:

In producing this site I would like to acknowledge the support and assistance of my current school, Patana British International School, Bangkok.

In producing this site I would like to acknowledge the assistance of the following individuals:

Brian Taylor (HOF Science, Patana Bangkok), Pamela Carter (formerly Bangkok Patana); Rachel Lomas ( previously of Hong Kong);Laura Brown (Shatin College, Hong Kong); Dr Neil Miller, Carol Jordan and Simon May; Tina Dallas( Athens). Adrian Palmer (Patana), Sudip Burnam-Roy (Patana).

Stephen Taylor is the single author of Option A to whom I am very grateful for his contributions. He retains full intellectual property right to the materials in option A including text and images.

In particular I would like to acknowledge the open minded attitude of Dr. Neil Miller who so openly shared his resources for A level Biology many years ago on the Biotutor site of University of Central Lancashire. I once asked Neil if he would like me to cite his authorship when using his materials. He declined, in so doing he was my inspiration for the free sharing of materials that are on this site. Please be aware that many of my diagrams are modified from Neil's originals. There are significant parts of the text which can be traced directly to Neil's original Word documents. If you infringe the copyright of these materials you are breaking with the original spirit, intentions and ethos of this site.
